Cinderella Cast Interview with Hayden Thornton

Hayden Thornton (Villager) will be performing in Cinderella May 4-14!

Q: What is one of your biggest dreams that you wish you could make into a reality? What would you do once this dream became real?

A: I've always loved acting and I feel it comes naturally to me. One of my biggest dreams is to be a star in a TV show, movie, or Broadway production. If I could make acting my career, that would be my biggest dream because I love it so much. Other than that, a dream of mine would to just be happy and successful in life, whatever I do with my future, just being happy is important to me.

Q: If you had your own magic carriage to take to the ball, what would it look like?

A: My magic carriage would be like the carriages you can see in downtown Memphis because they allow you to see everything your passing. I love travelling because of all the new sights you get to see, so it would be imperative that I can look at everything I pass. Also, they would have really comfortable seats so you could ride for hours without complaining or being uncomfortable. I guess I would add cup holders, seat heaters, and maybe a microwave to make food while you ride because I love food.

Q: If you were to throw your own royal ball, who would you invite and why?

A: That's a tough question because there are so many people I would love to invite. I would obviously invite my family and closest friends from social groups like school and church like Kennedy, Chinnu, and James then some people from past shows like Cade and Sara, and so many others that have been such great friends. Then I would invite my grandfathers because they both died when I was little, and I would love to hear everything I've missed. Next, I would invite Amelia Earhart, Rosa Parks, Kathy Bates, and Annaleigh Ashford because they are all very successful women I look up to. Finally I would love to invite the whole cast of The Office U.S I'd love to talk to them.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most in this production and why?

A: I love the dancing, and meeting new people. People I'd never think to talk to outside of acting have become my closest friends backstage. It's surprising how many things you have in common with people you'd never meet otherwise because of different schools and lifestyles. Normally I'm a geeky dancer, so the fact that we can choreograph a dance and have it be fun and complex is really exciting and one of my favorite parts of being a part of Stage Door Productions.
