We are so excited for Into the Woods Jr. running February 22-March 4! Mark your calendars today to see Lucy Belle McFarland as Little Red in the Middle School cast of Into the Woods Jr.!
Question 1: What is your favorite fairy tale and why?
A: Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairytale, I think, because I love the meaning behind it: Do not judge someone by what they look like on the outside, it is what that is inside of them that counts. Also, I like that Beauty and the Beast shows that people can change and become good if they really want to. I think Belle is a great role model for girls because she thinks it is okay to be different and smart, even if other people think you are weird. She loves to read a lot, just like I do!
Question 2: Why do you think fairy tales are still important in today's society?
A: Fairytales are still important today because they can teach us valuable lessons. In Beauty and the Beast, Belle is the only girl in her village who likes to read. Everyone thinks she is odd because of it, but she does not care. She shows girls that they can be what they want to be, they can make their own choices and they do not have to be like everybody else in order to be happy.
Question 3: If you could be any fairy tale character which one would you be and why?
A: If I could be any fairytale character I would be Rapunzel! I would love to have long, glowing, magical hair! I would love to experience going outside for the first time as an older person and getting to run around in an amazing and beautiful place! I would love to meet pirates, take a boat ride at night and see hundreds of lanterns lighting up the night sky! I would also love to live in a beautiful palace with my family and have a beautiful white horse!
